Our love story began in Dubai in 2020. We met and had our first date at a nearby beach bar called Breeze. There seems to be a beach theme right from our first date! We had a fun time as we both navigated the British and Brazilian accents! We are sure some things were definitely lost in translation, but it didn’t deter us from setting up date number two!

Although we were off to a good start, our journey to love wasn't exactly a fairytale. We dated for a few months but shortly after decided to stay friends. We weren't sure if being friends would work, but oddly it did! We stayed in each other's lives for the next few months and developed a solid friendship.

In the meantime, life continued. One day, Henrique came to his senses realising Dina was in fact his soul mate and the girl of his dreams!

So, destiny determined we were meant to be together after all. We have been so happy ever since and was one of the best decisions of our lives. Here we are now planning our wedding day!

Fast forward 2 years, and we got engaged on 13th February 2022. It was a beautiful proposal in Burj Khalifa, at Atmosphere restaurant. As it was the day before Valentine's Day there was definitely lots of love in the air. Henrique was his usual cool, calm and collected self, although some nerves must have been lurking beneath the surface! Or perhaps he was just super confident Dina would say yes!

It was one of the most special moments in our lives, and one we will never forget. Since then, we have been inseparable and our love for each other has only grown stronger.

One of the sports we enjoy together is Golf. There are many great courses in Dubai. We've planned many golfing holidays around the world. We are far from professional but enjoy being outdoors on the course. Our motivating key phrase to each other following even a semi decent shot is “Good one!” in a very elongated tone!

Our four cats from top left Skylar, next to her is Josh, then Junior and the grey one is called Charlie. Initially Henrique was a dog person, but as time has passed, he now loves the cats as much as Dina does, and we are truly one family.

Unfortunately, they won't be at the wedding but will be waiting for us once we get back. After we've been away, we can't wait to see their little faces greeting us at the door!
